Introduction

The end of the year is fast approaching, a time when many people reflect on their goals and what they want for the future. Are you thinking of a career change? Are you fed up with the nine-to-five and planning to go solo? If so, this guide is for you.

By following my exercises and step-by-step instructions, you can launch your own freelance business in just four weeks without quitting your day job! This plan is designed for people who are studying or working time. We have boiled it down to the crucial points.

I have worked as a freelancer for five years now, and I have loved every second. I can travel anywhere in the world, work with diverse clients, and do the thing that I love: writing. Freelancing is hard work, but it gives you incomparable job satisfaction and freedom.

So here goes for week one of our four-week plan.

Week One: Discover Your Freelance Identity

Freelancing, in a nutshell, is being a one-person business — a self-employed professional offering services to various clients. That’s the technical definition, but there are as many ways of being freelance as there are freelancers. Everyone has a different client base and a different business plan. This first week is all about finding out how you want to freelance and what services you can offer.

Exercise One: Ask Yourself the Right Questions
